Default Sour cream

I am looking up some crock pot potato recipes and most call for Sour Cream. My husband cannot eat Sour cream. What would be a good alternative that would hold in the crock pot for cooking times??

I think it is in his head. And no not all food aversions or sensitivities are made up. But he can eat/drink milk, hard cheese, soft cheese, yogurt, greek yogurt, heavy cream, half and half, cream cheese, butter and ANY other type of dairy just fine. He got the runs one time with a dish that had sour cream and now he claims he can never have it again. Anything that might remotly have sour cream as an ingredient he claims I put it in there anyways. Not once have i ever put it in a dish he was eating. So I think it is in his head. He has never liked the taste so to me it is psychological.

I use unflavored Greek yogurt sometimes instead.

I substitute Greek yogurt (plain/unflavored) for all recipes that call for sour cream

My husband won't eat sour cream and I can't substitute greek yogurt. He can taste the 'tang.' I end up adding milk just before serving or using Neufchatel cheese (lower fat creamy cheese).
