Default Bubble booster (the inflatable one)

I know the bubble booster was talked about some here when it first came out, and seemed like a great idea. Did anybody ever try it?

I never have, but its a frequently recommended booster for travel/tight spaces.

How well does it seem to hold up versus the plastic ones, and how compact does it deflate to? I need to put a booster seat in luggage for a trip, but if I am getting one I want it to last for a while.

We have one for a carpool kid because it's the only thing that fits between Boy-o's carseat and DD's booster. It comes with a little travel pouch that's about the size of a rolled newspaper, so when deflated, it can be rolled up pretty small. It's very durable and we haven't had any trouble with it.

This exactly! We have had ours since Aug and it had been no problem at all. Very packable.

It has a 4 year expiration but that is from the date of purchase, not the date of manufacture.

We have 2 of them. They are fantastic for fitting 3 kids in the third row of our minivan. It also works great for the rare occasion my 11 year old has to sit in the front seat because the back of the van is full. It sits lower than other boosters, so can help with low headrest or lowish seat back situations where you need to eek out a bit more space before the child's head goes over the restraint but doesn't quite fit in the seatbelt.

It rolls up pretty small- much easier to pack than a plastic booster. Should easily fit in a carry on without taking up too much space.

My kids don't love it but don't hate it either. As a travel booster or one used for carpool or rarely, it works well for our situation. If ds goes home with someone after school, it easily fits in his backpack for the ride. Even inflated, it's easier to pack in a backpack than a plastic booster.
