Default 3 Across in a Chrysler PT Cruiser?

We had to replace a vehicle today & settled on a PT Cruiser. I need to figure out car seats for it. I currently have 3 radians in my Tahoe & I'd like to keep them there if possible. Are there any high back boosters that are fairly inexpensive & narrow? The other seat we have is like this one. It's an Eddie Bauer 3 in one. My older two have been in a 5 point harness until now, but I think a HBB would be ok. They're 6.5 years old and 43/45 lbs. My littlest DD just turned 4 will be in a 5 point harness....hopefully the Eddie Bauer seat we already have.

Good luck. I had to install 2 in my aunts and it was hell. I'm pretty good at installing usually. The even floor big kid amp is a slim booster. We also have a gravity turbo booster that is fairly slim also. If you need another forward facing 5 point the harmony defender is one of the slimest.

It would be easier if they stayed in a 5 point harness, there is little room when crowded to buckle them in with the regular seat belt. does that make sense?

That does make sense. After reading & googling a ton last night I'm betting that moving the Radians is my best bet.

We did. It's going to be DH's daily driver, but it would be nice if the rest of us could fit in too.

We traded in our Crossfire, so having a second vehicle that we can maybe transport kids in will be a new thing for us.

The Alpha Elite is a really, really crappy booster and the harness height is only about 14 or 15 inches IIRC. Plus it can be a beast to install. I'd skip that one.

Your best bet would probably be to move the radians and get new seats for the Tahoe. The only other three across I've seen work in a PT cruiser were a Radian, Scenera, and Cocorro (all FF).

We rented one when we went to NC and it was a beast to install 2 seats in. I am not sure what 3 seats would work best honestly.

Thanks for all the input. I'm going to try the radians this evening.....then I'll get to drive the new car until we find different seats for the Tahoe

If they work that is.

One more question. The seats are installed right now using the seat belts instead of latch. There are anchors for two of the seats, but the middle seat would sit on top of them if I installed them that way. Is that ok, or should I stick with the seat belt install?
~~~~~~~
Nevermind....it slipped my mind that the total weight can't exceed 65 lbs. on a latch installation.
Yes, I would do seat belt, even of they are within latch weights. Also make sure they are top tethered
I did the top tether today. Our Tahoe is older & doesn't have anything to tether them to. The installation is sooooo tight. Tighter than I ever got them in the Tahoe
If your Tahoe doesn't have a top tether I would look into the Nautilus or the older Frontier (long seatbelt path install), as those two seats performed well in regards to head excursion without a top tether
Thanks! The Nautilus was on the short list of seats we were looking into for Chloe. For Madelyn & Naomi I think I'm going to go with the Turbobooster.
