On a total side note, make sure they replace those carseats that were in the van during the crash.

I was thinking that.

ANY seat, car seat, booster, etc that was in the van needs replaced. If they refuse, you tell them you want a signed letter stating that they guarantee the safety of the seats in the event of another accident, and that their insurance company does as well.
