My son is on 50mg of zoloft (he's 9), so I'm sure that's too low of a dose. Hopefully the higher dose helps.

Yeah, that kind of grief and depression makes everything ten times worse. Do you journal at all? Have you found writing to be helpful to you in the past? I sometimes find that writing every horrible thing I'm thinking/feeling out can help get me over the hump and through another few hours, even if I only spend 10 minutes writing.

Does he have an iPad or anything like that for therapy/play? Something that can engage him for a short time if you need a breather?

I'm in a big city, with a heck of a lot resources, and ABA is difficult and expensive to get here, so I can only imagine how much worse it would be there.
