Default Give me some ideas for my 'green' committee!

I'm crazy and decided to chair our 'green' committee at work - even though I'm new and have no idea what to do. They were just amazed at my having cloth diapered a child that they thought I would be the best chair of it.
Anyway - do you have any ideas for stuff we could do? The only thing that I've seen that they've accomplished is a recycling program, which is cool. I was thinking of suggesting a little info 'fair' on how to have a 'greener' Christmas or more 'sustainable giving' around the holiday season. But I'm kind of stumped otherwise.
Help?

Thank you for your suggestions guys! I work in a medical clinic - it's a pretty awesome place.
We're going to do two big things for the rest of the year - show Food Inc and have food from a local Farmers Market. And then have a information fair on sustainable giving/greener holidays. Then we're going to put educational things on the bulletin board throughout the year. I'm excited!

You could really do so much with this. My SIL one year for Christmas gave everyone "green" items. We received plastic water bottles, lights and some other usable items. For the farmers market you could introduce reusable fruit/vegetable bags and market bags. For lunches you could do snack bags, sandwich wraps and cloth napkins. Everything can be cleaned and re-used over and over.

The podcast More Hip than Hippie always has a segment called Teeny Weeny Greenie. It's a little challenge that you can take to move toward a more sustainable lifestyle. They're usually quite simple changes to make in the way you live.

I second the waste-free lunch idea. You might also discuss taking your own containers to restaurants to get takeout.

What about doing something about biking to work? Public transit information? Ride sharing?

Homemade, non-toxic cleaner recipes?

Homemade and non-toxic beauty products? An introduction to the Skin Deep database?

How about adding a workplace compost? The pail could be emptied into a work or personal garden, or donated to a community garden.

I would say reusable napkins or trying to replace paper products.

reuseable grocery bags are great.
this place sells them very inexpensively, although they are meant for dying they are a wonderful quality. http://www.dharmatrading.com/html/eng/3324-AA.shtml

DD2s peds office has a rain garden, and uses green alternative cleaners (which is great so I know DD1 won't have a reaction to something just from touching a table)
