Default Kelly, Mrs. Shopaholic: I have a jewelry question!

DD loves the necklace full of buttons we bought from Adorn! She wants to try her hand at making them herself for gifts. I've searched the webz a bit but couldn't find anything similar to how yours was made.

Is it weird for me to ask for help or is it okay because you aren't actively selling?

was it a crochet necklace?/ Its just a basic crochet chain where you load up the buttons first and then start crocheting and pull the buttons down every few stitches. You can find tutorials on You Tube as well I found one for a beaded bracelet and followed that, and then just made it longer for a necklace.

Yes, it does appear to be crocheted. I did a bit of googling "button necklace/bracelet crochet tutorial" before I started this thread but I didn't find anything similar. I was initially wondering if you went freestyle! I will keep looking.

I just load up all the beads or buttons first and then I start the chain. Then I decide how much space I want between each - maybe 4 stitches in between each button? Depending on size of them.. then I crochet four basic crochet chain links, then pull down a button and crochet around it, then do four more, then pull down a button, etc. does that make sense?
