Default Best cold medicine?

I need something strong. Nothing else is working. My head feels like it's going to explode, I'm having serious sinus pressure, I can't breathe, and my throat is scratchy.

So what OTC med is the best? I need something non-drowsy. I'm taking sudafed, which normally works, and it's doing nothing. My nasal spray isn't working either.

Nim Jiom made into tea. You can take it often but for me it's awesome. I find it OTC or in the Asian food aisle.

I usually take a zinc, make Traditional Medicinals breathe easy tea, take some pain relievers and eat a spoon of honey. My husband would also use a neti pot to deal with his sinus trouble.

I ended up buying Breath Right Strips (OMG no. I hate them! And I've wasted 3 trying to get them to fit right on my nose. Which is apparently the wrong size for these strips to work right LOL) and some kind of liquid medicine. It was the only one I could find without a fever reducer in it so I bought it. LOL

Aleve D. It's behind the pharmacy counter and you have to ask for it. I try tp tough it out/go for natural remedies as much as I can, but when it's bad that's the stuff I go for. It's stinking amazing!

The original sudafed behind the counter. The kind you have to sign for. Get the 12 hr. Good for the sinus pressure. The stuff on the shelves is a poor imktation and doesn't work as well. Ask the pharmacist for it.

If I don't feel better by tomorrow I'll go see what they have behind the counter. Thanks!

I use alka seltzer severe cold and flu. i think they have a sinus one too. LOVE it, for when i really, really need something. Nyquil also has a sinus med, called sinex that helps with my congestion and sinus pressure.

Nettle tincture works really well for congestion. If you want something you can buy at a regular drug store, mucinex works really well.
